Internationellt studiebesök i Ånge - fokus på framtidens gröna industri

Under föregående vecka välkomnade Ånge kommun ett trettiotal besökare från flera europeiska regioner till ett studiebesök i Ånge och Sundsvall.

Besöket arrangerades tillsammans med Region Västernorrland inom ramen för det europeiska samarbetsprojektet UNLOCK (Interreg Europe), där kommuner och regioner lär av varandra om hur man kan skapa nya jobb och stärka den lokala industrin — särskilt kopplat till grön energi och vätgas.

Syftet med besöket var att visa hur företag och offentliga aktörer i Ånge och Västernorrland arbetar med hållbara industrisatsningar. Deltagarna fick bland annat besöka och lära sig mer om Permascands produktion inom elektro­kemi, Nouryons erfarenhet av vätgastillverkning samt Ånge kommun och utvecklingen av det nya industriklustret vid site Alby Östra och i Torp.
I kommunhuset hölls samtal om hur små och medelstora företag kan ta del av möjligheter inom den växande gröna ekonomin. På plats hade vi representanter från Ånge kommun och Velarion, och digitalt berättade BigAkwa och RES/Alby PtX om sina verksamheter och planer i kommunen.

During the week, Ånge Municipality welcomed around thirty visitors from several European regions for a study visit in Ånge and Sundsvall. The visit was organised together with Region Västernorrland as part of the European cooperation project UNLOCK (Interreg Europe), where municipalities and regions share experiences on how to create new jobs and strengthen local industry — particularly in relation to green energy and hydrogen.
The purpose of the visit was to showcase how companies and public actors in Ånge and Västernorrland are working with sustainable industrial development. Participants had the opportunity to visit and learn more about Permascand’s electrochemical production, Nouryon’s long-standing experience with hydrogen generation, as well as Ånge Municipality’s work with the emerging industrial cluster at Site Alby Östra and in Torp.
At the municipal building, discussions were held on how small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from opportunities linked to the growing green economy. Representatives from Ånge Municipality and Velarion took part on site, and BigAkwa together with RES/Alby PtX joined digitally to present their activities and plans in the municipality.
The study visit is co-financed by the EU programme Interreg Europe.
